Hornsea 2 Offshore Wind Maintenance Deck Reference
A comprehensive frp grating solution engineered for the demanding requirements of the Energy & Power sector.
Location
Europe
Client
Orsted
Completed
Full operation August 2022
Total Area
Public scale: 1.3 GW, 165 turbines, 462 km2 offshore area.

The Challenge
Public project context: Hornsea 2 is a 1.3 GW offshore wind farm located off the Yorkshire coast. Offshore substations, transition areas and maintenance decks need access surfaces that resist salt exposure, shed water and remain manageable during marine service windows.
The Solution
Application reference: FRP grating is a strong fit for offshore maintenance routes where corrosion resistance and reduced handling weight matter. This record is based on public Hornsea 2 project data and does not state Kingcats supplied the project.
